IMPORTANT NEWS: Good News for TV and film in Hawaii!
A new television series, “NCIS: Hawaii,” has been confirmed, and “Magnum P.I.” continues its presence in Hawaii.
Abiding by an AFM agreement with the TV/film industry, “Hawaii 5-0” provided many musician sideline opportunities for 10 seasons, paid at full media rates, and “Magnum P.I.” continues to offer our musicians work opportunities.
Chief Officer of the Creative Industries Division of the state Department of Economic Development and Tourism, Georgia Skinner, told KHON that “the local film industry is one of the bright spots of the recovery and seeing shows like ‘Magnum P.I.’ and actually a landmark year in 2021 — we will have three television series and possibly another.”
